I have so far only played it once but I got the feeling that there will be a lot to do differently in a second and third playthrough.. Interesting concept. Nice music too!. A sweet small game with lovely goofy characters. Floofer is the best, blballblblblblblbl.^^. Monster Garden is a game that's just as much about the love of being silly as it is about monster acceptance. I followed the development of this game for quite a while, and the game has lived up to most of my expecations.This is a game with a style all of its' own. It kind of reminds me of Earthbound or Undertale, except on a much smaller scale. There's an undescribable aura that envelops the game and it seeps from the art all the way down into the writing creating a game that's wholly unique from the ground up. It was almost as if this game was nutured as well by the one-man team developer as the titular Monster Garden is by Bobo.The biggest highlight for the game would have to be the writing. In such a short game, you might imagine that it is difficult to connect with any of the characters on a deep level. Suprisingly though, I bonded more with these monsters in 30 minutes than I do with characters from games from bigger companies.While I do think that the shorter run-time can be an asset and may indeed be there to encourage multiple playthroughs, it would probably be what I site as the biggest detractor for me with this game. I found myself wanting to get better acquainted with characters, but before I knew it the final garden was already finished.All in all, a great little romp that makes me intrigued to see more from this developer in the future!. Such a lovely game!. Monster Garden is a quirky and innocent study of surrealism. You walk through a world that makes sense, not to you as the player, but to the monsters that inhabit it. You quickly learn to go with the flow of the game and to enjoy the slightly confusing and mysterious world of monsters. That is the great achievement of the game. There is a real sense of a vibrant and wild world with characters that long for company, for freedom, for choice and for a good time. It's a game for players who enjoy a wacky adventure game and don't get frustrated when the story is not spelled out for them, but instead is up for interpretation. It's an enjoyable and unusual little game that makes you want to figure out how to help and befriend all the little monsters of this technicolor world. I can assure you, you haven't played anything like it.. I don't usually play videogames but I feel in tune with this one, theres something about surrealist non-combat that engages new perceptions about characters and yourself. The play time is short but exploring the worlds and monsters in depth is endlessly a delight. Despite it's cute graphics, each world deals with real world anxieties.It really satisfies my hunger for weird media and silly voices. Love it.. Charming little game, with a relaxing concept. I loved hanging with my new friends in my monster garden. No spoil for the end, but it is the best way to finish the game.
